Well we have the SOTW and the POTW , so why not a AMV of the week? we have alot of good AMV makers here. so it would be fun to compete against each other.

if this is gona be formed by the admins... i m gona join..at least doing videos is wat i usually do when i m bored..

so if we're going to have a amw otw, how are we going to vote for the participants? will you upload the amvs on youtube, or shall we download them? (if this is the case, probably we should set a timeframe.. like 3 minutes or whatsoever)

I would say the contestants can upload on either youtube or veoh (for one thing I was banned from youtube just for making AMVs). That would be better than actually downloading them, imo.

Anyway, we'll have to see what the other Mods and Asura say about this~

I don't think we are going to start this anytime soon. Like we've mentioned in another topic, adding more contests will only create more work for the mods and the last time I've checked the AMV section is not that active, barely anyone posts in there and the topics that do appear almost no one replies back.

Although I quite like to see some good AMVs I'd have to agree with hyu

A suggestion from me is :

Ether hyu decides to give this a test try for one week if people enters then it'll continue...

Or

Someone make a topic for this in the AMV section. And see how many people enter if a good amount does then PM one of the mods,admins or use this topic again... ( if it isn't too dusty )

Its an okay idea, but causes strain for the contest staff. But i agree with whtfog/Hyu/Asura.

And how will the entries be viewed? If its off of youtube or some video-hosting site, there's no real way for us to determine whether or not its you who made it. Unless if the credits flash " FOR THE AMV CONTEST IN DGMA FORUMS" of course.

But yea, the AMV section doesn't seem very active.

I favor this suggestion! XDDD Though even if I do create AMVS I have issues with my program and issues with converting it to AVI and putting it on the intern. I can practice for an anime convention contest too ^^

Anyone else noticed that the AMV forum is nearly dead?

Know why?

It's at the freakin bottom of the forum list... I've been posting on this forum for nearly a month and just recently found out there IS an AMV forum lol

Anyway, perhaps moving the Fanworks section up higher on the list will bring some life back into it?

u guys know that you revived a thread thats been dead for like a month? lol

And that the admin and a few mods have said no and that it is too much trouble and stuff to keep track of this and the other contests.
