Okay, sorry for the hold up, but lets get this started, people!! [If you still want to..]
If you're going to have a custom charrie, just post a bio like
Kiatso Atokata so we have an idea of who your charrie is ^^
Here is mine:
Name: Yamamoto Setsuko
Alias: Setsie (But he hates the nickname)
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Village: Sunagakure no Sato
Rank: Genin:Academy student graduates. They demonstrated the ability to pass and are proficient at basic techniques, such as Bunshin no Jutsu. They are assigned to a Jounin, usually three genin to each Jounin. They are then allowed to do mundane and boring tasks, such as weeding, walking a rich man's dogs or finding a fat, rich woman's cat who had reason to flee it's master.
Chakra Nature: Wind & Earth
Clan: Yamamoto Clan
Clothing or Armor: Across his forehead, Setsuko wears his Genin headband, with the symbol for the hidden village in the Sand in the middle of the forehead protector. Sometimes the headband gets in Setusko’s way, so he then moves it to a better spot, being his neck, where it dangles freely. The reason for the headband getting in Setsuko’s way is because he doesn’t tie it very tight, hence the headband getting in the way; or it irritates his head [it gets itchy, his hair gets in the way, or it falls down from not tieing it tight enough.] When he does move his headband to his neck, he makes sure the headband is facing the front, so others would know he was from the Hidden Sand Village if he ever traveled to another village. There are leather straps that are worn around his torso. He also wears a type of vest that has the colors red and white. The trimming is white, and the rest of the cloth is red. On the back of his vest, there is a Japanese symbol for the Yamamoto clan, white in color which sits in the middle of his vest so it can easily be seen from afar. He wears black pants that are well fitted around the legs and end at the mid-shin, so he can move around quicker. From where his pants cut off, Setsuko has put white bandages there, covering his skin from harm.
He wears a fishnet undershirt under his vest, and white bandages around both right and left arms, both bandages ending at his shoulder. On his vest, on the top right of it is a pocket, which he stores his senbon needles, a place where he can easily reach if in doubt. He also wears black gloves on each hand, the fingers all cut off so he has better grip on his weapons. On his left thigh, in the mid section, are white bandages-which he likes to have worn tight around his thigh. He also has a weapon holster on that leg, but it is situated higher up on his thigh so he can reach in and out without having to bend down. The weapon holster on his left thigh is a carrying case for his shuriken, which he likes to keep in a close reach. When Setsuko in fighting or training, he is usually seen wearing shin guards so his shins don’t get damaged easily. The colors of his shin guards are black, with a gray streak going down the middle, being made of a thick piece of plastic strong enough to protect one from harm. They’re pretty worn down; from all the times he’s used them in battle, but refuses to buy new ones because his mother gave him these before she died. On his feet, he wears plain black Zori sandals, which have also been worn down quite a bit from walking in them for so long.
Physical Appearance:He stands at five foot two, being one of the shortest kids for his age group; weighing roughly around 120 lbs. Setusko has shaggy black hair-which he likes to keep spiked up at times. He also likes to keep his hair fairly long, hence making it cover his ears, and his bangs covering his eyes. However, there is a blond streak in running in the middle of it; the streak being formed by staying in the sun for too long. His eyes are shaped like almonds; the pupils being the color light blue, which is the most perceptible feature on his face, since it seems out of place. Most people wouldn’t think this at first, since his eyes are hidden underneath his bangs, but up close, with his bangs out of the way, you would notice it right away.
His nose is stubby, and his mouth thin and small. Setusko’s ears are typical sized, having pierced his left ear with a silver stud which can be barely discernible at times. He has all his teeth-which are fairly white-because he is still young after all. From living in Suna, Setsuko’s skin has changed from a pale white, to a tanned brown. Setsuko is fairly skinny for his age, weighing less than some fellow shinobi’s. From training his hand-to-hand combat with Takeshi, Setsuko was able to gain muscle, which seems to fold perfectly over his person. Consequently, he is very agile and fast, which gives him the ability to increase his stamina by training without weight getting in the way. On his left shoulder, and his left hand have distinctive scars, one being from a promise he had made himself and the other being from his father who hit him there with the hilt of his Katana.
Personality: Cold, distant, intelligent, and sarcastic. These are the four words that come to mind when one meets Setsuko. He is cold in a manner he sees fit. He rarely talks to strangers because of his past. This is a way to protect himself from being harmed again. Plus, he has doesn’t trust a single soul, thinking that they might harm Setsuko, or humiliate him. For now, he has suffered the worst wound of all; the wound to the heart which will never be fixed, even over time, when he has decided to put his past away, and start thinking about his future. Setsuko can be considered very intelligent because of the way he thinks, and the way he thinks of strategies during a battle, or when he’s in trouble. Although, some of his justsu he had learnt were self-taught, thus they are unique in their own manner, but not entirely perfect.
The most prominent feature for Setsuko’s personality is that he’s very much sarcastic. If someone says something to him that he doesn't like, he will cruelly make fun of them until he makes them cry. Also, he will simply ignore those who become persistent. He can’t stand to be around people who say dumb comments that are even worthy to be said out loud. However, once you get to know Setsuko really well, and he begins to trust you a little more, you would be able to see the other side of him not many people have experienced. He can be humorous, cracking a joke up randomly. He can also be quite the gentleman; kind and trustable. But that side of Setsuko rarely shows since he’s never been able to find someone good enough to trust, or even to hang out with. Someone “good enough” for Setsuko-in his opinion-would be someone who can be respected, mature, and trustable. How he looks for these things in a person is easy: He goes by instinct. If he feels like this person can be either things, then he would most likely go for it. At times, he can get desperate for friends, or to be around someone, while at other times, he prefers to be distant, keeping his feelings to himself. However, when he’s in a desperate mood, Setsuko tends to over-look a few things, asking himself, “Can I actually trust this person?” “Will they betray me like my last friends did?” and so forth. In the end, Setsuko usually prefers to let the females, more than the males, get to know him better, because in his opinion, he thinks that most males aren't really that trustable.
Weapons: - Suna headband: A headband that many shinobi’s wear. In the middle bears the symbol of the Hidden Sand Village, symbolizing that the person wearing it belongs to that country/village.
- Shuriken: A Shuriken is a small hidden weapon that takes on the appearance of what can be described as a four pointed star. They, like a kunai, are a common shinobi tool, and are often made from metal. They are small and can be hidden within the users hand, hence the concealed part of it. They usually play a small role in a shinobi's fighting style, and are more a supplemental weapon. They are often thrown and can be used in partnership with jutsu to conceal their coming. Shuriken can be thrown for distraction, embedded in the ground or used as a carrier for other things, such as a fuse to start a fire or coated with poison. He keeps his shuriken in his weapon holster, located on his left thigh. He had around thirty shuriken, but doesn’t carry all of them around at the same time.
- Kunai: A kunai is a wrought iron weapons that can be used in conjunction with many different things. Generally, they are the cheapest of a shinobi's weapons and range in size depending on the person's preference. The edge of this weapon is usually not polished to a sharp point, but left somewhat dull. It can best be described as a leaf shaped weapon with a handle that has a ring at the end of it. A kunai can be simply thrown, have wire attached to it, or it can be used as an anchor, as a stabbing weapon, or something like an exploding note can be wrapped around it and thrown. Setsuko has around ten kunai, which he keeps either in his weapon holster, or hidden in his sleeves.
- Senbon needles: Senbon needles, while mainly used for Acupuncture (a form of Chinese healing that includes sticking needles in strategic spots on your body, redirecting ki or your life force so that it balances out) some Shinobi, properly trained, can use them as deadly weapons. One of the reasons it is not all that popular is it requires extreme accuracy and speed, fore these are only deadly if they hit a vital area of the body. Masters of the Senbon Needle combat are in a way, masters of illusion. With the right precision and timing, a Shinobi can throw a Senbon Needle seemingly at a vital target on an ally, but actually missing it by a few inches. This causes the ally to go into a death-like trance in which the Shinobi will appear dead. Even if the opponents were to take precautions to see if they are really dead. Since this is Setsuko’s main weapon choice-besides the Shuriken-he carries around quite a fair bit of Senbon needles, holding around 50-75 of them. But, of course he doesn’t carry them all around, because that would weigh him down a bit. At a time, he carries from 20-30 senbon needles and more if he needed them. It all depends on what he’s going to use them for. Being training with Takeshi, or fighting with other Suna shinobi, the amount of needles varies.
- Smoke Bombs: Small capsules which emit a large smoke screen, intended to confuse opponents. These are very useful to devise a safe escape route. Setsuko doesn’t really have a need for smoke bombs, but keeps them just in case of an emergency. He stores his smoke bombs on the rim of his pants, hidden underneath his vest. He has around five smoke bombs altogether.
- Exploding Note: An exploding note is a fairly common shinobi tool also. It is a piece of parchment that has writing upon its surface. This script serves the purpose of bringing forth the explosive properties of the note. Generally, exploding notes are attached to another object like a tree, rock, or house, or are wrapped around weapons such as the handle of a kunai. The script allows the paper to burn at a slow rate which will allow the user to escape before the explosion occurs. Setusko carries a total of three exploding notes with him at one time. He would usually store them in his weapon holster when not in use by his shuriken.
Miscellaneous Items: - A silver chain necklace which he wears at times when he thinks he best suits the occasion.
- Range Finder-which Takeshi gave to him. He usually only takes it out if he’s training with Takeshi, or when he’s on a mission.
Jutsu:Summoning Jutsu: Sand Scorpion
- Paralysis Sting [Mahi Piripiri]
- Poisonous Sting [Dokudokushii Piripiri]
- Sandspit [Susaki]
- Giant Sand Dune [Jaianto Sakyuu]

Art of Water Walking [Suimen Hokou no Gyou]
Tree Climbing [Kinobori]
Wall Climbing Skill [Kabenobori no Jutsu]
Sand Clone Skill [Suna Bunshin no Jutsu]
Special Abilities/Kekkei Genkai/Unique Traits: His bloodline was trusted in summoning a creature known as Suna's Guardian, the Sand Scorpion. Because he is the adopted son of Takeshi, Takeshi has the scroll that contains the generations of Setsuko's bloodline in it. Once Setsuko proves his worth, Takeshi shall allow Setsuko to learn to summon the Sand Scorpion. For now, he will keep the scroll to himself until he knows Setsuko will only use it to protect rather than destroy.
Battle Style: Setsuko is a balanced fighter who fights both at a long-distance, and short-distance. This being said, he prefers to fight long-distance because it keeps his enemies at bay. Also, because another weapon he prefers to use are senbon needles, which requires him to fight at a long-distance. When he uses his senbon, or shuriken, fighting long distance, he usually has a precise aim, but misses approximately fifteen percent of the time, but with practice, he could make it even more precise. When fighting in close range, Setsuko would most likely use Taijutsu [hand-hand combat] with a mix of Bunshin no Jutsu or Suna Bunshin no Jutsu. It all depends on whether or not he has enough chakra to use to make the clones. If, however, he runs out of chakra, he will resort to hand-to-hand combat.
With his intelligence, and cold nature, Setsuko is quite the fighter. He uses a combination of both defense and offense, which allows him to defend against attacks before he counterattacks with offense. While he’s fighting, Setsuko will tend to make a strategy while trying to fight. If, however, he does not think of anything to get out trouble, he will most likely just keep on doing what he was already doing. Something will likely come to mind when he’s ready.
Setsuko tends to fight holding the same grudge he has held for many years, fighting until he can’t any more, or even if death is needed. Setsuko usually fights with a reason: to show others he is worthy of respect and honor. Of course, being a Genin, he is still much too young to receive such things. Setsuko believes in a fair fight. If the other person cheats in any way possible, he will be sure to pay them back by fighting with all he’s got. Of course, he thinks lowly of those who wish to cheat during battles, and proves they are nothing but low-life scum bags. If Setsuko is in a good mood, he will try to toy with his opponents mind, tricking them, and setting them into traps. However, he does prefer to get the fight over with, before his chakra runs out.
Setsuko will only resort to the use of his summoning if he really needs it, or if he’s on the verge of death. When summoning Sand Scorpion-since Setsuko is still learning the basics of it-will only manage to summon it if he has most or all of has chakra. Otherwise, Setsuko uses his jutsus in both short and long distances, not wasting time standing around, wondering if it actually worked or not. If his jutsu is unsuccessful, Setsuko will resort to his senbon needles, shuriken, and possibly other weapons if needed.
Companions: Takeshi, Hotaru, and Ikioi.
History: On July twenty-ninth, the first child of the Horoshi family was brought into the world. At first the father was all for it, having a child and all. But, he started to drink, and get abusive ever since he had lost his job. Nevertheless, they had the child, and called him, “Setsuko.” At times, when Setsuko was just a toddler-since he couldn’t walk-he began to crawl from place to place, talking in gibberish to his mother and father. When his mother wasn’t looking, Setsuko’s father would run up to him, and start beating him for no apparent meaning. He would begin to cry, but his father would hit him harder and mouth the words, “Do you want me to give you something to cry about? Because I will!” After a while of this abusive, Setsuko learned to coupe with the pain, and stopped crying altogether. A year later, Setsuko’s mother had another baby boy, which his father favored. It was “Tsuki” this and “Tsuki” that. Since they had the new baby, it was as if Setsuko wasn’t born, let alone alive and living, standing right beside his parents. But, he thought this was good for him in the long run, since his father wouldn’t hit him often, or not at all. Oh boy was he wrong. His father only got worse on Setsuko, letting all his pain get wasted on the little boy. His mother was oblivious to this all, not noticing all the new cuts and bruises Setsuko had acquired in the past weeks from various beatings.
One day, when Setsuko was only five years old, a disastrous event happened that he would never forget in his life as long as he lived. He was in the backyard, practicing his jutsu-since no one else would teach it to him. His mother and younger brother, Tsuki-whom was only three years old at the time-was in the kitchen, her son in her hands. The father strolled into the house, after being fired from his job. He was an extremely gifted Jounin who had taught many Genin’s, but he was fired because he couldn’t handle the mess up’s, and how the Genin’s seemed to know nothing about the ninja way. On the way home, he had been thinking about doing something he should have done a long time ago. He slowly walked into the kitchen, standing behind his wife and son that he loved so very much. He got out his katana, holding it behind his back. His wife didn’t even see it coming. He quickly aimed the sword at her heart, and stabbed, coincidentally going through the baby boy, killing both instantly. Setsuko had just come in, finishing with his training, only to find his father holding a bloody sword, and his mother and brother on the ground, blood puddling around their bodies. “Mother…” he mumbled, tears forming in his eyes. He ran over to his mother, not worrying about blood getting on his clothing. He sat her head on his lap, wiping her bangs out of her eyes while he began to cry. “Mother…” he said again. He saw her open her eyes, staring deeply into his dark blue eyes, saying, “Don’t give up, Setsie… Don’t give up…” And she was out cold. She died in Setusko’s hand; calling him the one nickname he hated the most. “Why, father? Why!” he said angrily, clenching his fists. “This teaches you to be a real man. Suck it up, you baby! You’re even lucky you weren’t the one in her hands, but your kid brother…he was a good son, he was. You could’ve learned a lot from him,” he stated, laughing. He placed his Katana back into its holster and walked off. He couldn’t do anything. He was weak, and powerless, and scared of his father. “I will never forget this, Father! You will pay for this!” he said through clenched teeth. This was a promise he would never forget, and to make him not forget he would have to leave himself a message. He got out one of his kunai from his side pocket, aimed it at the outside of his left hand, and stabbed it as hard as he could into it. This pain and scar would tell Setsuko in the future to never forget what happened this day. Never.
Setsuko couldn’t bear to stand around and look at his dead mother and brother. He knew his father would just dispose of the body some sick way, so he decided to have a little memorial in the backyard of his house. He dug a grave for each body, placing a cross he had made on the top of the buried graves, with the carvings of their names on them. After he had finished, Setsuko packed his bag, remembering to take all the weapons he could find, and walked out the house. He remembered the times when he would stay up with bloodshot eyes, the walls surrounding him with the story of his life. For days he walked in this godforsaken desert, not knowing where to go. After all, he was only five years old, and had rarely been outside in Suna. After a couple says of walking around aimlessly, he ran out of water, and soon after, food. He was dead meat for sure, but he couldn’t go back to his father. He would only hurt him more. In his early years, Setsuko had come to the conclusion that his father or mother had never loved him because of what they did. His father beating him for random things, his mother not doing a thing about it, leaving Setsuko on his own. Since his mothers’ death a few weeks back, Setsuko had made himself realize that he wasn’t afraid of death, or dying. He knew he wasn’t going to survive for much longer in these living conditions with or without his father.
After two weeks, Setsuko ventured back home, only to find his father waiting for Setusko. “Where the hell have you been?” he yelled, stampeding towards the door where Setsuko was coming in. The first thing his father did to Setsuko-even though his six year old son had gone missing for a couple of weeks-he began to hit him, telling him what he did was bad, and he was to blame for the death of his wife and son. For once in his life, Setsuko had the guts to stand up for himself. “Stop it! I’m sick of you hitting me!” he yelled. Setsuko reached for his kunai, and stabbed it at his fathers’ back. Perfect hit. His father backed away from Setsuko, shocked to see blood on his hand. His father backed away from Setsuko, frightened at what his son just did. “Ill get back at you for this, just watch!” and then he stormed out the door, cursing.
It’s been six years now, Setsuko being almost twelve years old. The beating still goes on, twice as hard now since he has to be shown how to be a “man” and how to endure such pain. Out of that time, Setsuko had gone to the Suna academy to learn the ninja arts. Through the time of being there, Setsuko had made some friends, and then lost them almost immediately. They bullied him, making fun of him because he didn’t have a mom, and because the jutsus he was told to create were messed up, and incorrect. “Pfft,” he muttered to himself. “Who needs friends?” From that point on, Setsuko hasn’t talked to anyone. He’s just given up altogether, trying to socialize with others. Because of what has happened to Setsuko in the past and present, he thinks lowly of humans, and trusts no one, not even his mother when she was alive.
Setsuko’s father gave up on his son, thinking he didn’t deserve to eat, to get new equipment, or clothing. Since that had happened, twelve-year-old Setsuko had tried to make money on the street, but failed in everyway. He got desperate one day, and decided for the best. He
had to get something to eat; he hadn’t eaten in a week now. He saw what looked like a wealthy man, but the problem was, he was a ninja. In the end, Setsuko took the chance that he was going to get caught, and the man would beat him. He was all used to it anyways, so it didn’t really matter. He quickly walked towards the man, pretending to “bump” into him, trying to pickpocket him. But before Setsuko could get away, the man whom was named, Takeshi, stopped Setsuko by grabbing his wrist. He tried to get away, he even used some of the basic jutsus, but he had been no match for someone such as Takeshi. But, being Takeshi, he didn’t hurt Setsuko. Although instead, Takeshi told Setsuko if he stops stealing, that he would help him get off the streets. Well, I guess he could have thought about adopting the boy, because in reality, he knew the boy…. The boy’s father was Takeshi’s friend, and in reality, the meeting was not on accident.
From that day on, Takeshi from the Yamamoto Clan had adopted Setsuko, and claimed him for his. At first Setsuko was all for it, but was a bit uneasy afterwards. He didn’t fully trust Takeshi, after seeing what his father did; Setsuko thought all fathers were like his, so who made Takeshi any different? He’s thirteen-years-old now, and is now living a whole new life. He joined another Suna genin team, Hotaru being one of his teammates, Takeshi being the Jounin leader.
