I started watching it when a friend told me that people when they are cursed, get covered with black stars. I love black stars <3 . And now I love DGM.

SO how did you start watching it?

Wow, I forgot, I think it was that I drew a picture of the Earl and it came out really good, so I thought about giving the story a try xD

I forgot to mention that that friend of mine practically forced me to watch so I could answer his question : ''Who is better? Lavi or Allen?'' And then he told me about the stars

First I just looked at some pictures on deviantArt. Then when he told me about the stars I couldn't resist >.<

i got to watching it when a friend of mine (Hotaruhime) began watching it, i asked her what's it about and if its good, she said it was and so after a few weeks (or i think a month) i gave it a try and then i got addicted, i think more addicted than my friend.. XD

I was browsing through deviantart and found a friend who was debating on cosplaying a character (Debitto) from the Manga/Anime so I got intrigued and started watching and have been hooked ever since..xD

I started watching when my sister tells me about it, some time a week before I joined this forum.

One is my friends are anime-freak and she told me that she had started watching DGM. At first i didn't want to watch it, because i thought it is about some guy and vampires (i have no idea why). One day I got a little bored, so I decided to watch the first ep. and then.. i was totally into it. 8D

I start watching it when I was looking for a new anime then I found it it was so funny at the begeaning but for sure it's very good ^^

haha. my sisters were watching it on TV and i refused to watch it at first.. but remembered watching the Lala episode with them, found it weird as i didn't know what they were talking about... then when i began to watch miranda and krory eps...i started to watch it more regularly. and was hooked on when i saw allen's childhood friend transformed into an akuma and thot that Tyki was the childhood friend and such. so..i was literally hooked on by tyki unknowingly. oops. but its really the tv's reason(:

I started watching DGM when I finished watching Bleach up to like episode 140. I was looking around bleachexile.com for a new anime to watch and randomly picked D-Gray Man.

I started read DGM manga becoz of my sister, at first, I don't even wanna read it, then ARGHHH!!!! WHY DIN'T I READ IT ERLYER!!!!!XDDD Then I start to wach the anime too!!^^

I just started browsing on an anime blog then I got bored and just randomly read about D.Gray-Man.
I got hooked up ever since then.

I was at a convetion and went into the Artist's alley. I looked around and saw D.Gray-man art on one of the artist's table. Of course, not knowing what DGM was at the time I didn't bother to look at it. (But the picture was cute. Allen, Lavi and Kanda in girl clothing.)

A few months later, I went on DeviantArt to look up the artist who drew it. After finding the picture, I watched it. I was hooked ever since.

I was bored, read about it on the net, and decided to check it out. Now here I am.

I was randomly reading descriptions of anime,and found DGM interesting, it was then till some 27 episode (oe less) then if i remember correctly. So i downloaded it and started to watch it and like it.

I actually read the manga first before watching the anime. When I saw the trailer on Youtube, I was psyched on seeing the anime. I watched it when it came out and I still do today.

Well, my awesome friend at school often recommends me good animes to watch. Usually I ignore him...

One day he told me to watch D. Gray Man and of course I ignored him but he kept nagging me everyday rambling about how good it is. Fed up, I watched it.

I was hooked. LOL I remember! The episode they posted was "Kanda engages in battle" the day I started the series off! *sniff* Memories...

Even since my friend recommended me Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Hikaru no Go, and Darker than BLACK. ALL awesome animes. Where would I be without him?

So far, I'm special 'cause I'm the only one that started reading the manga 'cause I read a fanfic about DGM. I love fanfiction nd, when I run out of updates out of my favorite stories, I run out of new, good fics from my known animes/mangas, or I really, really like an author's writing style, I go to said author's "gallery" and read those fanfics whose descriptions sound interesting. If I like the fic, I look the character I'm paired up with to have a reference as to how does he look like.
The fic was this http://www.lunaescence.com/fics/viewstory....amp;warning=13+ and the guy was Kanda. I was obviously interested and read more fics. The show looked interesting and I looked for the manga. Now, I'm just eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
For some reason, though, the anime doesn't stricke up my interest. I think some of the colors are not right and I dislike watching fillers. I heard the anime is full to the brim of fillers. Any truth to that?

@Akuma: Yeah... It is said that looking at the number of episodes, DGM is the anime with the most fillers.. So it is said..

There was a preview chapter in Shonen Jump, the preview chapter was chapter 2 (part of it) and 3. I read both chapters in Shonen Jump and kind of got hooked on it. XD

I was online on a forum i usually go to and saw some of the peoples avatars and sigs were from D.gray-man . . . at first i thought it was a show about pirates cuz the first pic i saw was of lavi with the others on Anita-san's boat 0.o . . . but then i was like "how come so many people like this?" so i went and read the manga first to check it out, and was hooked =] i read from chapter 1-157 in like three days . . . i spent 3 hours a day reading . . . then i started the anime XD

I was looking for a nice manga to read so I saw an anouncement of D.Gray-Man manga and I got really interested so I decided to buy it then I discovered there was an anime so I just said...I must watch it!!!!

er well watch? no i read it first. my friend gave me to read and i loved it so i bought it myself then i noticed there was an anime so i started watching it but decided to read the rest first because the manga is more acurate...and well yeah....

A friend introduced D. Gray Man to me. I didn't want to read it at first but my friend was very annoying. So, I have no choice but to read it...and look at me now. I joined DGMA...

I had heard it was good so one time when I was at the mall I bought the first volume and I loved it, I have every english volume of the manga.

*Envies D.gray guy* I want those..

I read the manga -> I watch the anime, just to see Kanda & the Noah(s) animated
And GAWD, I love Kanda's, Tyki's, & Road's seiyuu(s)!!

Good for u guys who read manga first. I watched anime first cos it aired on TV in Singapore, initially showed 3 times a week, so I caught a few starting episodes and was like "Why is the picture so dark and why is there this boy who got a freaking arm?" I hated the arm at first, so I missed many episodes cos always forgot the time to watch.

Then started to catch back when Allen was losing the arm and then become interesting to me. So I found the episode synopsis and read on wikipedia. Then become hooked and didn't want to watch for TV anymore, so I watched online instead. Now TV is airing the same episode but I still watched immediately after the RAW and SUB are released.

Recently just read manga from where TV stopped and finished within a couple of days. Now I am thinking since the anime is same as manga, am I spoiling myself now that I know the story and what would be the next few episodes?

Well you can say that you just watch the anime for fun, and read the manga.

Well really a friend suggested it to me,but he didn't notice I was listening cause all I could hear was:
watch...D.Gray-Man...awesome...kicks ass...and then waffles with syrup.
But later on when I was in Youtube,I was browsing when I saw DGM,I decided to take my friends misunderstanding advise and watch.I got hook to it.

Fell in love with Allen's character imediately.

I found it on a website of anime.in the begining i wasnt interest because i thought that it was just another common anime one of these countless craps that filled the anime world

Thebe-pon is in love with Allen. I sensed a crush.

Allen's character isn't one that I fell in love with the anime. It was when he was dying that I started to watch regularly.

well Allen is naive but he is gentle

For a 15 year old boy who have to live with so much legacy and heavy burden, and yet has to be strong and optimistic, cheerful and motivate others, Allen is not naive. He is couragous and brave.

lately i have to admit that he is more serious especially in the ark but i cant forget that he let road escape knowing that she was extremely dangerous and cruel to him and after did the same with lulubell in fillers many times and even when he got hurt along with lenalee by lulubell

That was such a long time ago xD.. But he wouldn't be able to hurt Rhode anyway so it doesn't matter
