Hello, to the people who dropped by. I'm a bit new
to PS, [using for 2-3 weeks] and I need an opinion on
what I could do to make these signatures better/what
I could improve on. I know I need to improve a lot, & have been
messing around with various things, but it always ends up looking odd.
Help?

1st sig. made.
That was my first sig. I've made. I would like to think I have improved? huh.gif
[Itachi must be shamed]

2nd Sig.

3rd Sig.
[I spent a lot of time on the 3rd even if it doesn't look it!! laugh.gif ]

.... smile.gif

Thanks for looking.

I'm not much of a sig maker at all, but from the little experience i have, i would say that lighting and contrast can make a difference.

For example, in your second sig, there could've been more lighting effects done on the background (specifically the green thingies ;P). There's also a trick you can do with the original images. Duplicate the image layer, click on the copy and set the Layer Effects to "Overlay". Then you can go to Filters > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set it to about 5-8. This doesn't always work, but it can sure make the image more...satisfying via colour.

Also, you'd want to be careful with text. I'm pretty stupid in this area too, but finding the right text that fits with your colours and themes of the signature also makes a difference.

That's all the nooby me has got for you unfortunately @_@ I hope it helps a little. Hopefully, Tavia or Armads or someone will post here >__>

Oh! I like the first one~~ ^^

I kind of agree with Instinct; I think you need to work on lighting a bit. (I shouldn't be talking. >__>) Also, maybe kind of make the image look better, since many images can look blurry or pixel-ly sometimes. For the second sig, I like the background things, but I think you should kind of darken it, so the guy would stand out more.

I'm sorry, I'm really bad at critisism. >__< Nice job though~~ ^^

Thank you Instinct and Lavi18! Much appreciated.
I will try to mess around with the lighting effects more.
[Hope I didn't make your eyes bleed]

^ N-N-NO!! They're pretty good. Its just that you seem a little new to the colour and lighting concept. Which will come to you through experience and practice ^^

Keep going at it!!

If you are only using the photoshop only for 3 weeks I think you make a lot for a newbie....
I think the first signature is the best one of the 3....*gomen*....
I think you need to read some tutorials if you want to start make new stuff and now about new stuff in photoshop, because for the signatures you made I think you don't know some tools....^^
So if you want some quickly help I think, for example, in the first signature, you could just copy your render once again, and put this one in soft light or then screen *opacity - 50 or 70%* (this tools, you can find in the window called layer). then go to filter>blur>glass blur a new window will pop up and then you need to choose the pxl try make it 2...if you think it looks to weird try 1....
After that make a new layer with the original render (shortcut: Ctrl+J) and go to filter>Sharpen>sharpen. After this you need to make this as soft light and the opacity will be around 70-100%, you choose here...

Well I think it's done, just try make this and tell me if you like more about this one...AHAHAH...
and if you want I can give you some tutorials, just let me know

Ooh. Thank you!
Wahh? 1st signature? I hardly did anything on it. Cool.
Oooh. I think I shall PM you dear sir.
[And actually I already overlayed it..I guess I set the opacity too low
or something, because the original pictures were fairly light and not
as bold as I wanted. So I overlayed it after messing around for like 231654 hours. heh]
Thank you once again.

^Aw, thanks. I hope whatever I said helped a bit. >< No, my eyes are fine. xDD Thanks ne~~ If you want, I can go search for tutorials maybe, if you like. ^^ Because I need tutorials for myself...=__=

If the image you're using is too light or dark, you can always use filters and tools to brighten or darken them up. Just try using different kinds of tools and opacities, and you can always find a way to make them better looking for your sigs and avatars. ^^
