Those voice actors are barely even noticeable as voice actors. Like geez could we not afford better? T_T
I'm now very scared to see who the voice actors will be for the Noahs and the Earl especially; they'll likely all come out like crap and fans will mob Funimation.

well at least youll get your own region disk with english dub & japanese dub+english sub on it. Can always switch to japanese! ^^

Wulfi was telling me that in one of the podcasts, they said they hired a bunch of new voice actors for 09. Maybe they'll be in here... They betta be good. >:{

I have to say...out of all those VAs the only one I really like is Travis. He does a pretty good voice for the silent often withdrawn characters (I mean he did a good Mori-senpai in Ouran even though Mori never really speaks.)

But the rest..I'm not too sure about to be honest =/

Whenever I think of Travis as Kanda, somehow Roy Mustang always pops up in my head (it was pretty decent for the FMA dub)

Luci Christian's voice as Honey in the Ouran dub gave me cavities. Her voice + Lenalee = NIGHTMARES.
I was hoping for a more SPAZZY voice for Komui, and they MIGHT be able to pull off Cross' voice

He sounds like a dorky kid.. once it gets to serious dialouge he will sound so wrong.. hopefully it's the video audio.. I pray to god thats not his voice.. lol.

I'm kind of dreading how the Earl is going to sound. He's nothing without his absurd giggles and I KNOW the VA for him will NOT be able to pull them off in the same way which just grinds my gears. >.<

I'm probably going to be like Ca12nag3 and get the DVDs to watch it in japanese, tho I just might listen for just Travis' Kanda. I kind of have a feeling that he'd do a pretty ok Kanda.

I'm actually just glad that Funi didn't throw Vic Mignogna into the series (or last I had seen he was just going to be a random Akuma...good.) As much as I like Vic....sadly he's in too many series =/

Actually, Allen's English Voice kind of suit him since he's English. But I miss his Japanese voice. English voice make him too mature. While Japanese voice make him look like a kid who is slowly becoming adult. *crying*

And Komui? If the one who voice Kyoya in Ouran make the serious version of Komui would be alright. But what will happen when Komui comes with his sister complex? I don't believe "Kyouya" would show the same complexiti of Komui's feeling towards his siter. LENALEEEE!!!

Why must everything being dub? Can't they let it be like the original. If we here can read the sub, why can't the others? AHHHH!!!

I didn't like Allen's voice, and the pronunciation of the word 'Akuma' killed me; it was pronounced as 'a-coo-ma'- not very flattering.

And the Earl sounded like an old man with lung cancer...

Earl sounds off, Roand and Lenalees voices are rather common but road sounds older then Lenalee. Kanda indeed to old. Only one i realy like is Cross. Skin's voice is good too. Tyki is like a empty shell. Komui is good too i think.

Allen - Why, oh why, did they take out the British accent? Oh, it would have been adorable. Being one of the few who loved his Japanese voice, this is going to be hard to adjust to.

Kanda - I'm having the same issue I had with watching Tamaki in Ouran high - Im too much of an FMA fan girl to get past this. Plus, it's a little old for him, as mentioned before. It's something I'll have to get used to. Oh, and shortstop or whatever they called him was terrible. I think beansprout was fine.

Lenalee - ...

Lavi and Bookman - I'm not sure yet.

Science Division sounded fine, i don't mind the Noah, Earl I dunno, Cross and Miranda were my favorites. Jerry amused me.

Worst?

Level 2 akuma. Not even kidding. That guy had the best voice in teh Japanese thing...it was so terrible that it was good. This was just strange, from what I saw, at least.

But I only saw clips so I shouldn't even be writing this much LOL

First of all, what's with the weird pronunciations? Not just with akuma, but with the names as well! Mi-rahn-da becomes Mi-ran-da and Lii-na-lii becomes Len-al-ii. I'm sure that those are the correct ways to say the names, but its just too weird. And the substitution of shortstack for beansprout doesn't make any sense - they both have the same amount of syllables and are just as understandible to American audiences.

Secondly, I also thought that overall the dubbed voices were pretty bad.

Allen: I'm with LaviLenaFan on this: why oh why did they not give him a British accent? And I also loved his Japanese voice to death. It just...fit him perfectly.

Lenalee: It suited her - it was annoyingly squeeky.

Kanda: They must have hired a pedophile. I can't listen to it.

Earl: They made him too creepy sounding.

Cross: I actually liked it. It really fit his character.

Road: It was so bad!!! I mean, she's supposed to have this high-pitched annoying and sadistic little girl voice - and she ends up sounding like she should be inserting "like" and "OMG" into her sentences. I think Lenalee's voice actor would have done a better job with her.

Tyki: It wasn't extremely bad, but it just sounded like the stereotypical villain voice. I thought it would be cooler.

Lavi: It was....not terrible, but just....a very plain guy's voice.

Jerry: I burst out laughing listening to it. I thought it would be girlier, but this is an amusing take on him as well.

Miranda: It was good, but it's still weird for me to listen to her speaking in English.

Komui: "Eww, no!" XDDDDD
This was THE BEST VOICE OF ALL. It perfectly suited him. I thought his Japanese voice was too weird with its constant change of pitch. In this, its awesome.

The rest were nothing notable.

X_X When I watched those clips, I made this wierd choking/sobbing noise (Kanda... TT-TT; he definately doesn't sound 18 - more like a rapist or something...- OxOU) and, seeing as I'm in a hospital right now, I got a bunch of wierd looks. ^-^U

I just got my DVD's yesterday (I pre-ordered them~). I've only watched the first 2 episodes (I was tired and had low tolerance so at episode 3 I switched to Japanese^^') OMG! I HATE Kanda's voice...it's too deep (plus I keep imaging Roy damn it...)! Allen's voice annoys me for reasons I can't place. I OMG'd at Jerry's voice. It honestly scared me a little (though I not sure why...I don't think I like it...^^'). I agree with YaoiShadow666-13 on the Earl's voice, it DOES need to be sing-songier (and songier is now a word:P). I really liked Hevlaska's voice. Komui's and Lenalee's voices really didn't make much of an impression though the way Lenalee talks does annoy me. Cross made no serious impression on me, I don't like or dislike it majorly.
I also agree with people on the way they say thing. It annoys me...-sigh- Some of the lines in the english just made me laugh out 'The hell?' (which is bad...cause their lines I shouldn't laugh at^^'). I checked out the commentary for episode 2 on the dvd's. It has Allen and Lenalee's VA's on it. I couldn't watch too much of it. It was late, I was tired and already annoy by the voices so listening to it was just annoying me further. I will watch all the episodes in english but it's going to a little hard. I love the japanese VA's so much (Allen's was perfect!). I much prefer the sub's!

Holy crap, Kanda said "You son-of-a-B****." That made me LOL for some reason.

I literally burst out laughing when I heard Kanda's and the Earl's voice. I was laughing not because it's funny, but because it did not sound like them at all. Okay, maybe I compared the japanese one to theirs but in all honesty, even if I watched the english dubbed first, I would still stare at the screen in "OMG-ness" at Kanda's voice. Kanda sounds like an (old man) trapped in a teen's body. Takahiro Sakurai really did an awesome job in voicing Kanda in the japanese dub... It matches Kanda's image totally... SO do the others... That's why I reverted back to the Japanese one the moment I couldn't take the english dub. xD

The earl sounds like some kind of robot. And like mentioned in the previous posts, the Earl ain't the Earl without his clownish side. So what if he's supposed to be evil? That doesn't mean that his voice had to be so... sinister... Clowns are sinister... Allen's an exception. Maybe. XD

And the youtube comments, many mentioned that if Allen's and Lavi's voice/ Lenalee and Road's voice were to switch, they would sound better. And I agree with that. Allen... he sounds... I dunno... a little weird. But then again, it's a case of must-get-use-to hearing him like that. Lavi's VA was okay, i guess. Lenalee's VA i totally agree to switch with Road's. Poor Lero doesn't sound cute(?) anymore... Sigh...

Well, when more episodes of the EL dub comes out, if possible, I hope my opinion will change. Seriously. I'm waiting to see if the VAs will get more in touch with their characters and voice them out like they are really them. That's what EL VAs who dubs Japanese characters lack, the feelings of their character as compared to the Japanese VAs. Then again, I wonder how japanese VAs sound like when they dub EL movies/shows. How good are they, I wonder? =D

Cuz, if we don't compare dubs, the EL VAs are also quite good in their own productions. Perhaps it's just a case of, "I do better in my own country's productions."

I didn't think Kanda's voice matched him at all. I personally found it WAY too deep for him...

I've only watched the first episode, but I'm surprised with how different it was from what I expected when I read these posts. I mean, I honestly like Allen's; it's not that hard to get used to. Lenalee's voice fit perfectly fine, in my opinion. However, I have yet to hear Road's voice and such, so that's all I'll say. And, Komui's is definitely the best out of all of them; I knew Tatum would be perfect for him~ XD

So far, the only beef I have is Kanda's, ahaha, but it will be fun to actually listen to him talk now lawlz~ XDDD

Well, yeah. Kanda's voice the one that I can seriously not grow fond of. The Earl, well, let's have say that I look at him with a robotic evil mastermind in my head. But Kanda? No way. Kanda should just remain as he is, that appearance, that cool look. Giving him a voice that sounds so, fake? Sorry, I rather he be mute. =D
